Night Vision Scopes

Night vision scopes were once heavy, bulky and priced for several thousand dollars. Nowadays you can purchase compact night vision scopes with 4x magnification for around $500.

Night vision scopes are popular with varmint-predator hunters and for good reason. Predators like the coyote prefer to hunt at night. In areas where coyote are a problem, it makes sense to use night vision scopes to remove problem animals, where other methods of removal have failed.

However, the use of night vision scopes to shoot game animals after legal shooting hours is not ethical or acceptable. True hunters would never use night vision scopes for this purpose.
